COMCAST THREATENS TO DROP THE DAILY SHOW

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Cable giant Comcast/NBC.Universal says it will drop The Daily Show from its cable service if they don’t stop picking on Comcast head of Government Affairs Meredith Attwell Baker.

Baker, who was formerly a member of the FCC, left her post there and took a cushy job with Comcast only four months after voting to approve a huge media merger between Comcast and NBC/Universal.

“If the Daily Show wishes to infer that Ms. Baker is a totally corrupt bitch who sold out her fellow countrymen to the forces of monopolistic darkness, they better check their cable viewership because it’s about to go off a cliff,” said Comcast Corporation CEO Brian Roberts. “At the very least they can expect a huge increase in their bill next month. Why? Because thanks to Meredith we can,” he added.

There has been no response from the Daily Show at press time.
