FACEBOOK REFUSES EGYPT REQUEST TO LIMIT HOW MANY FRIENDS YOU CAN HAVE

Zukerberg advises Egypt to make more friends

In a stinging rebuke to the Egyptian Government, Facebook has said it will not limit the number of friends a person can have on its service. This comes in the wake of violent protests in Egypt against the Government that were organized by people using their Facebook accounts.

“If these people were not allowed to have so many friends, they would not be able to make these leaderless, flash-protests,” said Egyptian Foreign minister, Ahmed Helmy.

“We have reviewed the Governments request,” said Mark Zukerberg CEO of Facebook. “But after reviewing the situation we think it would be better if the Government just try to make more friends than spending all their time torturing their enemies.”
